Military
As Imperium's military force, the military is responsible for both the offensive and defensive operations undertaken by the fleet, both in space and on the ground. These operations include, but are not limited to: elimination of hostile forces, protection of Imperium and allied assets, preservation of Imperium trade routes, and the security of any operation that takes place along these routes.

Division Structure
Strategic Planning:
This section's primary responsibilities will include defining mission objectives, managing multi-mission campaigns, and working with the Operations Division to create tiered plans for any major Military operation or campaign. Strategic Planning’s primary duty, however, will always be to transform the general instructions from Imperium command into quantifiable military objectives that can be achieved through the generation of missions.
The staff of this section will also be interfacing with the MILINT and Combat Ops sections of the Military division to ensure that enemy information required for the planning process is reviewed and the best individuals are selected to lead the most critical of fleet missions.
Tasks & Standards:
This section is concerned with the mission roles that Imperium members can undertake when signing up for Military missions and the standards that are expected of players in said roles. Tasks and Standards are responsible for identifying every possible role in a combat environment, and providing the technical information for that role to the Academy division, so courses may be created for students to become certified in that particular game mechanic.
Eventually, Tasks and Standards will take on a similar role to an Inspector General staff by ensuring that the requirements set out for military mission roles are met, and correcting occurrences when they are not.
MILINT:
MILINT is responsible for identifying any actionable intel from our enemies through either recon missions, analysis of existing combat reports, or collection of publicly available information. Additionally, this section will assist in the development of tools that will better help to collect and manage any intel gathered. If the enemy has a weakness that can be exploited, this section and its staff will find it.
Combat Ops:
This section will be composed of individuals that become experts in their particular fields of interest on the battlefield. The members of Combat Ops will have distinguished themselves as frontline commanders and are willing to be on call to lead any critical Military mission when required. In addition to being the first to respond to any threat, this staff will provide their expertise to the Tasks and Standards section to further the development of mission role standards for combat missions.
